Mit zur beliebtesten Sehenswürdigkeit von Chania zählt die historische Altstadt mit seinen schmalen Gassen. Kleine Geschäfte, Tavernen finden sich hier. Die Fassaden in warmen Farbtönen und Blumen und kleinen Bäumen, welche teilweise wie Dächer über die Gassen ranken sind wunderschöne Fotomotive.
