HFF--Texas State Capitol Building (DSC3464-Pano)

I suppose a railing is a type of fence. The Texas State Capitol Building in Austin, Texas, was built in 1888 and modified in 1955, 1995, and 1997. It was modeled after the U,S. Capitol but is about 5 meters taller. It has more floor space than any other state capitol building in the United States. Everything in Texas is bigger. :-) It houses the Legislature and the Governor's offices.

A beautifully elelgant and stately looking building Tony. The gentle lighting here softens and mellows its appearance and I love that you get a view os highly polished flooring through the arched doorways. The perfectly placed portraits on the wall give an impression of order and history. An impressive building and shot.

HFF and have a good weekend
