Graphisch gestaltetes Brücken"geländer" im Museumsquartier in Wien neben einer Installation von Lois Weinberger, zu der das offizielle Verzeichnis der Kunstwerke im öffentl. Raum der Stadt Wien zu berichten weiß:

"Die Werkidee geht zurück auf ein altes Pflanzenbuch, das über die enorme Samenproduktion des Bilsenkrauts berichtet: binnen fünf Jahren könne dieses Kraut leicht das gesamte Festland der Erde zudecken. Lois Weinberger begann daraufhin, das Wort Bilsenkraut zu konjugieren — also Ichkraut, Dukraut, Eskraut, Wirkraut und so weiter — und über das Blatt zu schreiben. Die jetzt gewählte Form in englischer Sprache reichert das Schillern der Wörter noch mit der Mehrfachbedeutung des Wortes „weed“ an, das „Jäten, Unkraut“ und „Marihuana“ bedeutet. In der Form der akkuraten Konjunktion liegt zudem ein Appell: Wer will, möge sich als Unkraut selbst ausmerzen."

Letzteres werden wir nicht tun, sondern uns einen soliden HFF gönnen! :-)

"The idea for the work goes back to an old plant book that reports on the enormous seed production of henbane: within five years, this herb could easily cover the entire mainland of the earth. Lois Weinberger then began to conjugate the word henbane - i.e. ichkraut, dukraut, eskraut, wirkraut (in German) and so on - and write about the leaf. The form now chosen in English further enriches the iridescence of the words with the multiple meanings of the word "weed", which means "weeding, weed" and "marijuana". In the form of the accurate conjunction, there is also an appeal: whoever wants to, may weed himself out as a weed."

We will not do the latter, but have a solid HFF! :-)
