António Lobo ANTUNES (ALA) has a much more original., redundant, untimely, and poetical writing, and never won the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Certainly, the Swedish Jury has been distracted or is strongly influenced by lobbies.

Jon FOSSE also has the power to attract us with the non-stop word stream, colder and not so sensitive and clever like here in Southern Europe, but with the same hypnotic rhythm, without pauses.

I take for myself he is strongly influenced by the ALA style.

Superb shot! Great writers don't need a Nobel Prize to validate their works.

I can find The Land at the End of the World on Amazon. Looks good. I’ll give it a try. Fosse is everywhere, I’ll get round to him, too.

What about António Lobo Antunes? Do you know his writing?

Steve Bucknell replied to Armando Taborda:

No, not at all, I hadn’t heard of him. The Land at the End of the World is an English translation of one of his works, I think.
