plates and cups and saucers too
perhaps glasses for some wine
if laid it certainly would be a sign
that all were coming round for lunch
or even maybe perhaps some brunch
evening time and dinner for two

I think I'll eat the crumbs on the floor
I feel like a little mouse it's true
all I want is some food from you ;-)

I've come back for a coffee maybe
seems no one is here that I can see ...
off to the kitchen to see what is there
but all I can do is stand and stare . . .

does nobody live here, eat or drink anything ?
