HFF..........It looks like Autumn is here
Hebden suspension bridge was built in 1885 after a local drowning incident highlighted the need for a crossing. It was designed by village blacksmith William Bell, built using recycled steel rope from the Hebden Moor Mining Company, and funded by public subscription. The bridge, located near Hebden in the Yorkshire Dales, remains a public footpath, with the stepping stones below it restored as a Millennium project in 2001.
