Salmon Leaps Stainforth

At Stainforth Force, just west of Stainforth village, the River Ribble tumbles over a series of cascades. In autumn, salmon can often be seen leaping on their final journey up river to their spawning grounds.

Went there yesterday not one salmon.

Last year.

A shame for you not to see the salmon yesterday, they are probably there today!

Of course, a familiar spot for me as I have stood here a few times too but never once saw salmon.

Cheers, Herb

ps my Stainforth, which you have already commented on.
