I got within a few centimeters of it, and I'm still alive. :))
It is really harmless to humans, Kayleigh.

I spotted this one eight days ago and two more today. As time allows, I will continue to keep an eye on them and consider myself very lucky to have been able to get them in front of my lens. :)
Thank you, Günter.

It is a spider woman, Bärbel. :)))
The males of this species are only about six millimeters in size and are usually eaten after mating.

Absent from North America, where you're supposed to live, as well as South America - that requires (if you accept it) some explanation :))
Independently, a masterful capture, absolutely terrific (there's no equivalent of this adjective in French), and great in every way.

Which deserves to join the celebration of World Phorophaphic Day despite its capture date (I'm all against breaking the rules when justified ;)
