Small inter-city (village/town, actually) passenger ferry nears the southern end of it's 4 mile (6.5Km) journey. By road, it's a 40 mile (65Km) loop around Cobscook, Dennys, and Johnson Bays. Literally, 10 times as far.
(And really, with only 4 passengers, I don't understand how they even collect enough money to pay for their fuel.)
