A well composed and exposed street scene David. The shop front has a wonderful display of paintings and prints, which are best viewed large. I wonder why they changed the name - I think Mad Alice Lane is brilliant!

If it was changed to make it more PC........then it makes no sense to show the original name on the sign surely?

Anyway............I really like this one!

Qué precioso local!, recuerdo York como una ciudad preciosa. ¡Qué a gusto me pasearía por sus calles y visitaría estas galerias de arte!.
Estoy de acuerdo con Nicolás acerca de "Alicia la loca", hasta no hace nada, toda mujer con carácter y dispuesta a saltarse las convenciones sociales, y tener opinión propia, era una loca y/o ser peligroso que había que controlar y denigrar. La sangre se ha derramado con demasiada soltura en todos los tiempos y lugares, los seres humanos somos el animal más peligroso para nuestra propia especie, la crueldad se nos escapa con demasiada frecuencia.
