Acropods - or Accropodes,..

'Acropods' are man made concrete structures of varying shapes and sizes which depend on it's need and application - the one seen here is around 3 metres in height and with 6 prongs designed to resist the action of waves on coastal structures, and used in conjunction with marine building projects.,. such as piers - docks and breakwaters.

Hi David
A wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
I have seen these concrete mouldings around several times, and guessed at their purpose, but never know their name!
Great colours too
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!
