Die Kirche St. Matthias in Jork.

Die Sitzplätze auf den Kirchenbänken wurden vermietet. An den Stirnseiten stehen noch die Namen der ehemaligen Mieter. Teile der Orgel stammen noch von Arp Schnitger, einem der berühmtesten Orgelbauer der norddeutschen Barockorgel.

Die Kirche war schon immer geschäftstüchtig. Und die wohlhabenden Bürger haben sich dort standesgemäß eingekauft.
