This is a detail of the large (27 x 100 x 23 feet or 8 x 30.5 x 6m) Glasshouse Sculpture suspended in Glass House in the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibition which is a permanent installation of the works of Dale Chihuly on the grounds of the Seattle Center. In my view this installation represents a culmination for Chihuly in the sense that the techniques that he pioneered earlier in his career are brought together here in one work in a grand venue which is the centerpiece of the exhibit. The view is up and to the northeast.
