The Royal Oak pub is in the village of Okeford Fitzpaine in the county of Dorset. There is a blue plaque on the wall to mark the site where the concept of the steam fair first evolved. I have left a link for anyone interested. Sadly it has been cancelled this year because of spiralling costs, but there are plans to hold the world famous event in 2024.

An attractive building and I love the light on the facade Rosa. It is nice that they have the plaque on the wall. I imagine this is not the only event to suffer finncial hardship in these times but I hope thye find the resources to stage the event again next year.
