Old Oak Tree Trunk.
In the village of Turnworth, Dorset this ancient oak trunk now has many species growing through the middle of it. It is full of wood worm and is a haven for insects and bugs.
PiP 1) Showing a leaflet that was pinned to the trunk!
PiP 2) The George VI post box and telephone kiosk are both still in use, and sited next to what was once the village Post Office.

May be something like this evoked Tennyson to express "Nature is red in tooth and claw"

This is a fantastic capture Rosa.............the oak may be on its last legs, but it seems it'g going to have a presence there for a long time yet! It looks amazing with all that greenery growing from it............and that's just the stuff we can see! Such a pleasant looking location too.
Two nice PiPs..........I'm with Hobby Togger on the first one and I really like the second one. Both the post box and the telephone box are becoming more and more of a rarity and to get both in one photo is great!
I hope you've had a decent weekend.........and are looking forward to the week ahead :-)
