The wet weather has encouraged all sorts of early fungi. I think this is an edible one, but I still prefer to buy them from the supermarket. ;-)))

Nick Weall replied to Amelia:

Hi dear LGM ~ I used to eat them raw straight off the field. I'd check that the skin peeled cleanly off first as that was it I seem to remember ~ but as my memory is now deteriorating I stick to the shops. You used the be able to buy a box and grow your own ~ which we did a few times in the late seventies

Dear Nick,

I don't know if it is good or not, but certainly it makes a very nice picture!

Hi dear GGR ~ Well I'm tempted I must say (I've just looked to make sure it is still there)
It remains all by itself ~~ Thanks for your kind comments and good wishes.
Enjoy your week ~ Warm wishes ~ Nick
