Fences keep people off the railway!

Railway is dangerous!

HFF!

The reality of this scene is that while a train is there, the crossing gates are operated by railway staff to ensure that the train will not move. The crossing must be there for people who cannot use the bridge, such as the parent with the baby, and the elderly gentleman. The signs on the gates advises that people must use the bridge where possible. So, it is not the 'free for all' that many of you imagined!!

Judging by how often Deutsche Bahn cites "people on the track" more fences are needed;-) HFF and a good weekend!

But the engine is delightful. The first time I've seen it in industrial guise.

They don't always, as your photo proves but I suspect these people crossed when the engine had stopped. Well done.

HFF, enjoy the weekend.
