Such a fantastic train and a image, Peter. I just love seeing these old steam engines.

It also reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine and his engine friends. My son just love those stories growing up and I've always had such a fondness for the old trains.

Hi Karen

Thank you so much for your kind visit here. As you will have realised I do like this subject, and have a whole album full of similar pictures, which you are most welcome to browse at any time!

Maybe this is like Percy, the little green engine..!!!
I do have some Thomas pictures, but not on ipernity.
I did find Daisy though!!

Hi Erhard

Thank you so much!
One nice thing about this railway is the amount of water, which gives quite a few possibilities for something different..

Best Wishes and a good week ahead

Hi Jaap

Thank you so much!
The bridge is over the canal, but I do wonder if modern boats can get under it!

Best Wishes and a good week ahead.

Hi Nick

Thank you so much for visiting this little railway. For the few coaches an a relatively flat route, this little industrial tank engine will have no problem!

Best Wishes and a good Mayday holiday

Hi Rosa,

Thank you so much for your kind visit here. The train had just started of from Consall station,
( www.ipernity.com/doc/2247998/48345560 ) , and the fireman is putting a few shovels of coal onto the fire. I must say the smoke did hang around for a while.. (as it does in this locality).

It was nice!

Best Wishes and a good Mayday holiday

Peter_Private_Box replied to Gudrun:

Thank you so much Gudrun

It is always nice to get the train in some kind of context, and the canal is an important part of the landscape in the area, so I am pleased that you like the result.

Best wishes
