An absolute delight Peter! A beautiful scene. I am so pleased you posted this - I am again transported to my childhood with my head in my favourite book!
Thank you so much for your very enthusiastic visit. I am so pleased that you have enjoyed being transported back to Heidi's house and her village. I said I would try to find some more pictures..
If you are ever in the area, it is well worth a visit. You can see the whole village, and the farm animals too!
Hi Peter!
believe me. Really thrilled by this image of Heidi's village I would have never imagined it could really exist!
First of all I love the way you captured and composed this image , the cut, the perspective , with the shaded cow and baby calf which introduce us to the small house in a symphony of lovely constrasts of white and blue... That would a perfect illustration without all the trite drawings which Heidi's books are usually flooded with.
Actually my two Grand-daughters in spite of their very early and green age ( 6 and 4) are very demanding and choosy about illustrations . So! Thank you !!!! can I download it or am I too cheeky? If so, forgive me pleas
Looking forward for new images of yours form Heidi' villages... and certamente not only from this :-)

My 9 year old granddaughter is reading Heidi at the moment. I gave her my daughter's old copy and she loves it. A gorgeous picture you have here!
Best wishes, Rosa.
