Thank you for your very quick visit, and appreciation. Of course this is Switzerland, so we don't get excuses here about 'wrong kind of snow' and 'leaves on the track'. Also worth noting that this is purely adhesion worked, and with some steep gradients too,
Thank you so much! Your visit and kind words have made me happy!!
It is hard to believe that so much snow could be there in April, and even harder to believe that the trains keep running. But, as you say, this is Switzerland......!!!
Oh this is lovely. these shots always make me pine for the high mountain snows and peaks. I had planned once one of these Swiss train journeys but the nearest I got was the Bern to Interlaken then the Interlaken to Wengen/Eiger trains. But that is another story.
Cheers, Herb
I am so pleased that you like the composition. It makes all the planning worthwhile.
Of course to get shots like this you must get off the train and do a little walking, but you would get lots of nice pics from the Bernina express shown here..
Indeed Peter. I took lots of the little trains going up and down from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen and Grindelwald but as time elapsed I noticed them changing to the now somewhat less interesting modern versions. We had once planned to do some special mountain train journeys to see lots of them including the Bernina express but it never happened.
ps I have now added special PiP for you in my 'Rouen Cathedral' shot. Herb

Glad you like it. Certainly makes it worthwhile to trek through the deep snow to find the tunnel mouth!

As you know, I certainly like the trains too, but combined with snow there is so much more to go at. Many more will follow !!
