What a stunning shot of Mr Chaffinch sitting in the sunshine here Peter and certainly saved in fav's by me
My Tamron 18-270 lens recently died so replaced with a Sigma 28-300 as a quick fix .. time will tell if i get shots that look a fraction as good as this
I am pleased that you think it worthy. This guy was sitting in the tree just outside the bedroom window. Sadly, he has taken to sitting there a lot, and coming to the window, perhaps he sees his reflection there, I don't know. I've printed this out A4 size, and put it on the inside of the window on the hope that the sight of a bigger chaffinch will persuade him to leave the window alone.
It will be interesting to see how you get on with the Sigma, and compare results on the long range shots again.

Your appreciation of this little guy is very welcome. These are very common birds in England, so I had plenty of opportunity.
Best Wishes
