Definitely a very important activist for the rights of women. I'm surprised that I have never heard her name being mentioned before.

There was also Jane Rae, who was a Scottish political campaigner, suffrage activist, local councillor and justice of the peace. She played a key role in the 1911 all‑out strike at the Singer Sewing Machine works in Kilbowie, Clydebank.
