What a fantastic view, and it's great seeing those trees growing so far up the mountains, in amongst the granite boulders.

Andy Rodker replied to Jenny McIntyre:

As Jean says, the trees like to scramble among the rocks too, Jenny!

What an awesome rockery! I'm always amazed at how those trees manage to get established and flourish on what seems to be almost bare rock!

Andy Rodker replied to Keith Burton:

Appearances can be deceptive, Keith. A well protected fissure for a seed, given adequate nutrition and drainage and some species will thrive perfectly well, thank you very much!
Many thanks!!
