Aysgarth Upper Falls
Comme le poète William Wordsworth, Turner fut impressionné par les chutes de la rivière Ure, qui jouxte le village d'Aysgarth situé dans les Yorkshire Dales. Le célèbre peintre y réalisa plusieurs esquisses au cours de l'été humide 1816.

JMW Turner would no doubt have been impressed by the River Ure's three major waterfalls here at Aysgarth, a village located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The artist visited in the wet summer of 1816 to sketch and paint the falls from various viewpoints.
