Inscrit au patrimoine national portugais, ce navire exceptionnel fut construit en 1937, à Lisbonne, pour le compte d’une société de pêche. Dédié à la pêche à la morue, le Santa Maria Manuela sera aménagé et modernisé au fil des décennies, jusqu’à sa fin de mise en service en 1993. Grâce à la volonté de la fondation éponyme, il est restauré à partir de 2010, pour devenir un navire-école, dédié à la formation et au tourisme culturel. His presence is exceptional in Lorient! For the first time, our city has the chance to welcome this extraordinary old rig! Listed as a Portuguese national heritage, this exceptional ship was built in 1937 in Lisbon for a fishing company. Dedicated to cod fishing, the Santa Maria Manuela was developed and modernized over the decades, until its end of service in 1993. Thanks to the will of the eponymous foundation, it was restored from 2010, to become a training ship, dedicated to training and cultural tourism.
