Blackhead Point Lighthouse

The Blackhead Lighthouse stands at the southern end of Island Magee and the north entrance to Belfast Lough in Northern Ireland. The lighthouse can be reached by a road at the top of the cliffs, but also by a path along the lough the ends with a short but steep climb to the lighthouse. We took the path from the town of Whitehead. The lighthouse was built in 1902 and is still in operation. In the photo (I did not see it when I took the photo) is one of the P&O ferries leaving the lough for Scotland or Liverpool.
