We first saw Voringsfossen from above (tourists lined up at one of the viewpoints are visible at the very top of the photo). After visiting the different viewpoints we drove further down the road, found the trailhead and hiked through the gorge to the bottom of the falls. There was almost no one on this trail which was quite difficult in places and the views were even better than from above. Voringsfossen is on the Bjoreio River and falls 163 meters into the Mabodalen Valley east of Bergen. The waterfall is a popular tourist destination
