Sparrow's-egg Lady's Slipper
Hiking the Berg Lake trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park we found these both at Kinney Lake and in Whitehorn Basin where we camped the first night. At Kinney Lake they were still wet with the rain that had fallen the previous night and there were only a few flowers that had not gone by, but at Whitehorn they were at their peak. This flower is a bit unusual in that the dorsal sepal is nearly straight up instead of hanging over the pouch.
