Along the banks of the Yellow River in Wuwei, the street barbers were in operation. They put a seat in a public place and cut hair for ¥10..about $2.50 Australian.
On this barber’s seat was a most unhappy lad having his head shaved, his parents both filming and soothing him simultaneously. At least it is an upgrade from the year 2000 when we saw a lot of public dentists in the streets, dragging out teeth with pliers….
