Rain coming in

There's been a big, persistent fire in that direction, the rain helped a little. However, there was more lightning, which started even more fires to the north of this spot. The land all around is tinder-dry.

Is this usual weather for you.......or have you, like us, been having abnormal heat and very little rain? The foreground of this image looks very parched.
