Lilford's Wall Lizard (Podarcis lilfordi) is only found on tiny islands in the Balearics. On the Illa de sa Dragonera it is very common and when you sit down to rest they slowly stalk you and close in from all directions. They climb into your bags and clothing looking for food and kept biting our toes, fingers and arms (though they are only small - 15cm - and quite harmless). However this experience is quite unnerving!

The day was very hot so this one is sitting with its feet lifted up off the hot rocks.
