Il est accosté sur les bords de la Sarthe près d'un pittoresque village qui offre un bel ensemble architectural des XVème et XVIème siècles le long des ruelles fleuries. Le centre du village est marqué par la haute tour du clocher de La Tour St Pierre qui s’érige pour indiquer le temps et le chemin des pèlerins en route pour Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle. Elle est le seul vestige d'une ancienne église construite au XIIe siècle et détruite en 1370 pendant la guerre de 100 ans.

It is situated on the banks of the Sarthe near a picturesque village with its flower-filled lanes, offering a beautiful architectural ensemble from the 15th/16th centuries. The centre of the village is marked by the tall bell tower of the "Tour St Pierre" which shows pilgrims the time and route on their way to Santiago de Compostela. It is the only remnant of an old church built in the 12th C. and destroyed in 1370 during the 100-year war.

AUF DIE PLÄTZE, FERTIG, LOS - nicht wirklich... Dieses kleine Boot liegt am Ufer der Sarthe in der Nähe eines malerischen Dorfes, das mit seinen blumengeschmückten Gassen ein schönes architektonisches Ensemble aus dem 15. und 16 Jh. bietet. Das Zentrum des Dorfes wird durch den hohen Glockenturm des "Tour St Pierre" geprägt, der den Pilgern auf ihrem Weg nach Santiago de Compostela die Zeit und den Weg weist. Er ist das einzige Überbleibsel einer alten Kirche, die im 12. Jh. erbaut und 1370 während des 100-jährigen Krieges zerstört wurde.
