Golden Triangle Monument (upper viewpoint)
Auf thailändischer Seite gibt es zwei 'Golden Triangle Viewpoints': der eine liegt direkt an der Hauptstrasse durch das Dorf Sop Ruak, der andere (mit einem alten und einem neuen Monument) ca. eine Autominute davon entfernt (oder 10 Minuten über eine Treppe schwitzend zu Fuss) auf einem Hügel.

Laos is thankfully no longer a problem, but Myanmar is unfortunately not as easy to travel in as it was a few years ago ...
