Great shot turbulence. Is it always this choppy?

Not always but quite often. It can be even worse... Sardinia is on the whole very windy and particularly this coast which is exposed to the prevailing north-westerly wind, and there is a very long fetch (nautical fetch) from Spain and France, so you get choppy sea and even big waves. Just last week we had a severe gale, over 50 knots of wind. I spent the night in the boat, well secured at the marina, but could not sleep a wink for the noise and the wild movements of the boat...
