Autumn in Tandle Hills

Another golden autumnal walk here in my home town. A lovely natural park full of trees like these you see here. It only takes about an hour or so to walk the park with a camera but it is always well worth it, especially in autumn. I never tire of this place having already hundreds of photos but it is like a drug, compelling me to visit it again and again.

A twenty minute drive from my house here but I did used to look over to this from my old house. I can see your resinung re the old railway trail but no this is just a natural hump with a nice little valley on both sides. The path, simply a parkland trial. Glad you liked it.

Herb Riddle replied to Günter Klaus:

Thanks Güni, I liked that archway too with the line of trees at the end. The colours here were not as strong as other places nearby but I liked the scene.

Herb Riddle replied to Colin Ashcroft:

Thanks Colin. It is a place well worth repeat visits all the year round. If ever you get round this way, give me a call and we'll take a walk around it together.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Hi Toz and delighted that you are still active here. To be honest, i took three effective cameras with me on that walk: my Nikon with a prime 35mm, my Lumix with its long range zoom and my new iPhone 15 pro. Guess which took the most impressive photos straight from the download! I don't know if it is the phone AI perhaps but they simply have more impact which is difficult to reproduce on the RAWs etc using my editing S/W. (Maybe I need better software or am I simply forgoing reality for editing impact?)

Keep well. Herb

Such a well composed image.........the light coming through the trees is absolutely gorgeous and I like the dappled shadows too.

A delightful mix of green and gold colours in the leaves and the shapes made by the dark tree trunks are beautiful.

A wonderful shot sir! ⭐️

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

This natural country park is wonderful in such lighting and especially so in Autumn. We rarely walk this high path but I could see it had potential as we walked down the trail without the sun and a few minutes later the sun came out so back i went to finish the job. Great that you enjoyed it too. Thanks for the golden star.
