Yes this is a really vertigo inducing aqueduct. We have seen people freezing, unable to move, having to be helped back to the safety of the beginning.. Personally I don't mind crossing over on the pathway - unless it is windy.

I know what you mean Amelia. We had no trouble crossing it both ways but some people would not notice the first step. I don't know if it is any more frightening on the canoes but we did see some f the canoeist dragging themselves along using that right hand edge here. A long way down over that bit. Yes wind would make it worse for walkers.

Yes it is a great pastime and sport. My wife and I have only canoed down the River Lot and Dordogne in France. A wonderful experience.
