HBM ~ The silence of Rum

The archipelago of The Small Isles consist of the Isles of Rum, Eigg, Canna and Muck. So here we are on the largest of them; Rum, and one very soon realises why it is a National Nature Reserve. Its permanent population is around 31 people (2022) living in and around the village of Kinloch.
This photo is taken just beyond Kinloch and looks NE to show part of the Isle of Skye from the Rum Inlet.

Yes we had a few blue sky days but that was to end for our second week. A fine place to roam around. It would have been nice to stop a night or two so one could explore better the peaks here.
