This castle looks good from afar, perched on a nice hill with fine grounds of lawns, meadows and woodland. Here we see a glimpse of the 5.5 acre gardens that sit behind the castle. The Pip (previous photo) being from the same spot in the opposite direction looking at the hawk house. Described as being a garden for all seasons, my photos attracts a vote for Springtime.

The formal gardens include, a topiary, rose garden, statues, a main avenue, Hawk house, a Ha Ha, Pleasure ground wood, shrub garden, pond and stumpery. Phew!
