Well, not a distant memory, it was only taken last December. It is the lane down the side and back of our holiday cottage in Hawkshead, Cumbria. Walking up from here would have taken us more or less directly to Tarn Hows but over some steep very wet sections that we preferred to avoid after weeks of torrential rain.
