Erddig Hall

The country house and estate of Erddig Hall is a delight to visit. This is the back of the house and like many is in my opinion nicer than the front. It is dated principally from between 1684 and 1687 and was lived in by The Yorke family from 1733 to 1973 when it was given to the National Trust.

See last picture (or PiP) for internal view.

We were here last Wednesday. A gorgeous spring day. Missed you by a few days.

Herb Riddle replied to Amelia:

Hi Amelia. We have almost bumped into each other at one or two other places too. I know we travel the same paths. We were there a week ago yesterday. It was cold, wet and basically grey but all that improved a day or so later when we visited Chirk Castle. Maybe you was there too? Anyway I hope to see some photos from here in our album soon.
I have now include an internal view too (PiP or last photo)

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Thanks Gordon. If you are in the NT, a 2-3 hour run from your home could catch this house and Chirk castle on the same trip maybe taking in Llangollen too.

Such a beautiful looking building Herb........but for me it's the daffodils and the vibrant green of the grass that catches my eye!

Beautifully composed and taken and the interior shot in the PiP is lovely..!!
