A fox comes to visit

Its been almost a year since we saw a fox near our home. This morning, in the snows we see this fine specimen which I am sure was a vixen. Taken through our kitchen window into our garden.

Enjoy full screen.

Thanks Gordon. A chance sighting by Eileen after I had just entered the house with my camera after exploring in the snow. Glad you liked it.

A stunning capture Herb............the fox is a real beauty. Your focus on its eye is spot on and the detail in it's gorgeous fur is excellent.

Brilliant..!! ⭐️

A real bit of fortune seeing this with my camera almost in my hand after walking in from my earlier snow and fog walk, She was only here for around five minutes. Walking from our back to side gardens, I guess looking for food. She's a fine specimen I was pleased to see. Thanks a lot for the star.

Very well spotted and how well you managed to focus and capture before she moved on

Herb Riddle replied to Nick Weall:

A lucky capture here. My camera is quite fast at auto focusing Nick. She only sat here a few seconds.

Herb Riddle replied to David G Johnson:

Wild-life camera heh. Been a while since I used mine to spot the night badgers here. They still come occasionally but the foxes we have seen any for ages, including in the countryside and streets around us. A most fortunate sighting for me with camera almost in hand.

Cheers and keep safe in the ice and snow Dave. HWW. Herb

They are such pretty animals, Herb, even though here they are a totally unwanted introduced invasive pest, which wreaks havoc on our smaller wildlife.
Nice shot!

Herb Riddle replied to Diana Australis:

Yes you have a host of your own wild animals over in Australia. Maybe your foxes are regarded like our introduced grey squirrels. I know Steve Pax gets troubled by kangaroos once out on the country roads. At least we don't have poisonous spiders and snakes. This vixen was remarkably good looking for sure and healthy no doubt.
