A walk in Hardcastle Crags

This wooded valley near Hebden Bridge is always a great pleasure to explore. As per usual we walk the stony river path of Hebden Beck up-stream. Now even though it is barely the second week of September we see the first signs of Autumn.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Well you know the crags even better than I Gordon. One or two of the trees were turning but this more than most. The light was OK for a few mins at the start of the walk then it all turned dull. Even the mill pond was uninspiring- shame.

Oooh, this is just lovely Herb..........especially when viewed large. The light coming through the trees is gorgeous and allows us to see the attar of the autumn colours in the leave.

The river with all the rocks is beautiful..........very well captured sir ⭐️

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Just a snap as we took this wonderful walk Keith. It was to compensate us for a last minute cancelled holiday to Wales. The light was OK for a few mins at the start of the walk then it all turned dull.

Herb Riddle replied to David G Johnson:

Ta Dave. The Crags never fails to deliver at least a few nice landscapes of trees and water. A favourite haunt for me, and Toz too but seemingly harder to get to as I get older. Glad you liked it.

Cheers and take care. Herb
