NC500 GT. - 66 –Journeys End-Inverness

Well after journeying probably a little more than 516 miles we arrive back at our departure point of Inverness. As I stand here on the banks of the River Ness I can now look back on the many splendid highlights of this Grand Tour.

I would like to thank our Ipernity friend Roger for making this virtual tour possible via his NC500 group. I have enjoyed the memories of our mini trips that we have made over the last approx 30 years and made my contributions here possible.

As Roger is meeting me here too today in Inverness there is just time to have a wee dram as we consider our next Scottish holidays.

CHEERS to our NC500 viewers and thanks for your company!

The NC 500: The Scottish 'North Coast 500' is one of the world’s most beautiful road trips. A route of just over 500 miles (516) of stunning coastal scenery, white sandy beaches, rugged mountains, remote fishing villages and hidden gems.

A terrific and well framed image that epitomises, this beautiful highland city,
A fine way to finish the trip, Herb.

Thank you for adding this excellent image to the "North Coast 500" Group.

Herb Riddle replied to Roger (Grisly):

Great that we made it here together, back to where we started from. It was good to see so many familiar places from a different camera and mind-set. Good that your group has encouraged other NC500 travellers to show off their memories too. As you say Inverness, that I have now been to twice is a beautiful place.

I shall continue to add memories of our travels on the NC500. In the meantime:

Such a well composed image Herb............I really like the way the bridge and spires are framed beneath the tree branches. A beautifully sharp and detailed shot sir!

Enjoy your drink (or three) with Roger...........and no dancing on the table :-)))

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Like you Keith, I too enjoyed this take. I am pretty sure we had a look in one of those churches. Glad it all looked good on your screen.

It was a pleasure to share this run with Roger and have you on-board too.

Herb Riddle replied to Ecobird:

Good to see you here on the last photo of my Grand Tour Carol. it was a great experience and I was mighty glad to see your offerings here in the group too. Memories of very pleasant times for us both I think. Yes a lot of walking involved and even more riding.
