Herb Riddle / Photos

The Cuillins from Drunbuie.

Who says we have to have sunny clear blue skies for good landscapes. Here is one taken on my recent Scottish trip. A wonderful walk to and from the Drunbui Railway halt here and since it is Spring the yellow gorse is radiant too.
We are actually at a place called Port Cam, south of Plockton which is north of Kyle of Lochalsh in North West Scotland and I am looking north over Loch Carron.

Thanks Gordon. This was actually queued up for later in my Scottish trip photos but I thought it would be best suited for this months CWP too, so here it is. I see that you have entered your Whitby sunset. Looks good and is sure to bring in the votes. Thanks for the star.

Beautifully composed Herb..........I love the two contrasting halves in this shot.........in the top half we have that beautifully lit sky, the hazy sunshine tuning the mountains into partial silhouettes and the gorgeous light reflecting off the water.

In the bottom half we have a rocky cliff top foreground full of greens and yellows from the grasses and gorse.......making a splendid viewpoint for your photo.
