I lost my mother Finally today 6am NZ time but I did get to say a few words to her before I choked up. I did say goodbye 4 years ago to the shell that dementia left behind, Today that part of her finally is at peace. She did not really understand that she lost her husband and love of her life while she was in the home. She did not recover from the Flu @ 93 years only to be left sleeping and not eating or drinking. I did say parting words to her as she lay in her bed unmoving but we are told she can hear what is said.
I am truly Sorry to say that I don't have any body to look up to like my parents but I did learn a lot.
You cant miss my parents Like me they both carry a camera, loved nature and life.
Sadly I dont know when( Well before marriage) the photo above was taken but I do know who the photographer was. Enjoy your parents for as long as you can there is nothing like being left on your own and then you are the one that has to care for the next generation.
