Burnt clean.

I noted today on my walk around our lake South lake one part has been burnt out. You can just see the foot path we walk around the lake lower part of the photo. The lake has a small ring of bush all the way around it this will take some time to recover. the Extent of the fire is a bit more each end of the shot.

Steve Paxton replied to Herb Riddle:

We have had plenty already and summer is far from over, California is a total disaster of nature. Have see same here but no hills ti funnel the winds is a very big help. Hope you don't get the same as you did last time next summer..

Sad to see, but has cleared this area of the undergrowth, making it more fire proof for a while.

Steve Paxton replied to Gillian Everett:

I am glad they got it under control fast as there is a lot of animal life in these small ribbons around the lake. Under the paper barks there is not a lot of undergrowth there leaf coverage is very strong.

A sad sight, Steve. It's unfortunate that fires are set with the intention of causing damage.

It could have been a whole lot worse this is an area kids have have built cubbies in the back of the leaves of the paper barks . Like most fires we will never know just what the cause was but glad the damage was confined very quickly.
