Dieser wunderschöne
Faulbaumbläuling (Celastrina argiolus) im Bild war gerade dabei, aus nassem Sand Wasser und darin gelöste Mineralsalze aufzusaugen, als ich diese Nahaufnahme machen konnte. Diese Bläulingsart schließt nach der Landung sofort die Flügel, so dass man selten die Oberseite zu sehen bekommt. Im PiP kann man aber doch einige Details der Oberseite erkennen: Es handelt sich im Foto um ein Männchen. Der Faulbaumbläuling ist sehr klein und wegen seiner hellen Farbe sehr unauffällig. Deswegen wird er kaum als Bläuling wahrgenommen.

This beautiful
holly blue (Celastrina argiolus) in the pictphoto was just sucking up water and mineral salts dissolved in it from wet sand when I was able to take this close-up. This blue butterfly closes its wings immediately after landing, so you rarely get to see the top. However, in the PiP you can see some details of the upper side: The photo shows a male. The blue is very small and inconspicuous because of its pale colour. That is why it is hardly noticed as a blue.
