In den lichten Eichenwäldern meines Wohnorts sind Eichelhäher (Garrulus glandarius) weit verbreitet. Es sind scheue Singvögel (Familie Rabenvögel), die im Wald geschickt fliegen und durch ihre charakteristischen Warnrufe auffallen. Eichelhäher kommen in Europa und Asien vor. Ihre Hauptnahrung sind Eicheln.
