... it`s a new processing, I tried it only a second time.
Reason: the originals are very old and in extreme bad quality (resolution <1MB).

.... so I made a "pseudo-HDR" in b/w (Photomatix), coupled it with a normal layer in PS
..... and played a bit.
.... was so concentrated on the person, forgot the grey sky ...... URK !!!!!!

I`ll do my best, next !

I say, try just desaturation. Make the colors partially "washed out". Try PicMonkey to do for example selective coloring where there still are colors on surroundings, only desaturated, and then on some parts the colors are strong. Could work...
