The Gardening Illustrated Medal was won by my Dad, George Knowles Scott, in August 1930 when he was 29 years old. it was awarded by the St.Andrews and District Association, for 6 roses. He was always a very keen gardener, and used to exhibit sweet peas and chrysanthemums when I was old enough to remember.
The little envelope, once contained a silver 1941 sixpence, long gone now unfortunately. It was given to my parents to celebrate my birth in Dundee Royal Infirmary, now also gone, before I was formally named. I value these objects so much. They are priceless.
